With 5 years in veterinary medicine and 14 years wrangling pups in doggie daycares, she brings a rainbow of experience, compassion, and charisma to everything she does. She's our go-to ray of sunshine, lighting up the clinic with her infectious energy, warm client connections, and magical touch with animals of all shapes and sizes.

Certified in Animal CPR and First Aid, Rissa is fiercely passionate about animal welfare, from dogs and cats to exotic critters. She's a natural-born educator, always ready to empower pet parents with knowledge, delivered with patience, empathy, and her signature sparkle.

When she’s off the clock, Rissa is still in motion. She’s an avid runner, hiking enthusiast, and live music junkie, constantly exploring new adventures, trails, and concert venues. She's also a devoted Girls on the Run coach, mentoring and motivating young girls for the past four years with the same enthusiasm she brings to the clinic.

At home, she’s happily outnumbered by her two four-legged companions: Croy, a sweet and scruffy Border Collie/Golden Retriever/Chow mix, and Wasabi, her fiercely fabulous Siamese seal point cat with a big personality (and opinions to match).
