Since 2000, Mel has been a rockstar in the world of veterinary medicine, bringing not just experience, but an endless supply of heart, humor, and hustle to our team. As our back of house supervisor and resident jack-of-all-trades, she’s the behind-the-scenes powerhouse who keeps everything running like clockwork. Whether she’s assisting in surgery, calming a nervous pet parent, or teaming up with CVT Sarah to gently (but fearlessly) wrangle even the spiciest of kitties, Mel does it all with style and skill.

A proud graduate of UW Waukesha with an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, Mel has built deep, meaningful connections with our clients, many of whom consider her not just a caregiver, but a trusted friend. Her calm demeanor and compassionate touch make her a comforting presence to animals and humans alike.

When she’s not working her magic at the clinic, you’ll find Mel soaking in live music, paddleboarding on the lake, biking local trails, or strolling with her soulful sidekick, a hound dog named Daryl. She also shares her heart with three delightfully eccentric cats; Svengoolie, Elvira, and Mr. Bo Jingles. Mel also volunteers her time bringing warmth and love to patients in hospice care.

Mel is the kind of person who makes everyone, two-legged or four feel right at home, and we’re lucky to have her.
