Dr. Rachel Weiher grew up in Hartland and is even a proud former Arrowhead Warhawk. She is very excited to be returning “home” after attending the University of Minnesota for veterinary school, graduating in 2016, and practicing in southern Wisconsin ever since. While Dr. Weiher first considered the thought of being a veterinarian at a very young age, she considered several other career possibilities throughout high school and college before returning to the plan of attending veterinary school. During school she developed a particular interest in soft tissue surgery, anesthesiology, and dentistry. She also has a particular affinity for the feline patients.
Outside of work, Dr. Weiher enjoys riding and showing American Saddlebred horses, which she has been doing since the age of 9. She also enjoys biking, sewing, and most other various forms of crafting. She currently resides with her 2 cats as well as a rotating supply of bottle-fed kitten fosters from the Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS) in Waukesha.
