Dr. Katie Niebler is excited to have joined the North Lake Veterinary family in August 2022!

Dr. Niebler is a Milwaukee-area native and proud Marquette University alum. Although Dr. Niebler has always loved her hometown, her adventuring spirit led her West post-college to work as a horseback guide in the Colorado mountains. She then moved on to the desert Southwest of Tucson, Arizona, where the year-round sunshine allowed her to pursue her favorite outdoor activities of hiking, backpacking, and running. Dr. Niebler’s childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian persisted, though, and she returned home to Wisconsin once and for all to attend veterinary school at UW-Madison and graduate with the Class of 2009. After an intensive one-year emergency medicine internship at Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center in Waukesha, she headed out into general practice and has been practicing at veterinary clinics in Waukesha County since.

Dr. Niebler’s professional interests include preventative medicine, ophthalmology, and internal medicine. She is a passionate educator who loves to chat with clients about their pets’ health needs and conditions. Dr. Niebler enjoys a collaborative care approach, working with owners to tailor therapies best suited for their family and pets.

When not providing care for her clients’ beloved pets, Dr. Niebler spends time with her husband, two sons, two dogs, and flock of chickens. She still enjoys hiking and trail running, participating in local running events, and exploring the backcountry of the national parks on family backpacking trips, with most recent trips to Yellowstone, Yosemite, and Grand Canyon National Parks.
